Basic Survival Skills

This 1 day survival course will take your preparedness to the next level. The entirety of this course will be conducted outdoors where you will learn and practice skills taught under the supervision of our instructors. Heavy emphasis will be placed on knife skills, fire building, water procurement, and food procurement.

NOTE: Feel free to bring your own bug out/bug in bag, equipment or kit you want to test, or items you currently have but have questions about. There will be time for layouts, inspections, demonstrations of other gear etc.

• Survival Mindset

• Building your Survival Kit and Kit Critique

• Constructing a Shelter

• Understanding Environmental Conditions

• Building a Fire

• Food and Water Procurement (Traps & Snares)

• Prioritization In a Survival Situation

• EDC Recommendations

Required minimum equipment:

• Fixed-Blade Knife

• Bug Spray

• Ferro Rod and Lighter

• 50 feet Paracord

• Water Bottle and Metal Cup

• Notebook/Pencil

• Inclement Weather Gear (No Rain Cancellations)
